The Redmi Pad 5G is NOT Coming Anytime Soon

A few days ago popular tech YouTuber Frankie Tech released a video discussing leaked information about the Redmi Pad 5g. Not long after however, this information was debunked - leaving us with no reasonable excitement over this product.

Coming from a reputable Russian website, the debunk states that the specs Frankie Tech listed on his video are simply impossible for Xiaomi's next sub 300 dollar tablet.

Firstly, the inclusion of a Snapdragon 765G, a very expensive chipset and one that isn't used in many products at this time, would simply skyrocket the oroduct’s price.

Secondly, the claim that the smaller varient of the Redmi pad 5g would have 8900 mAh of battery is extremely unrealistic, especially considering that not even Xiaomi's 10 inch Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus had this much juice to drain.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly in understanding how legitimate a device is, is the fact that Xiaomi has yet to register this concept with the Chinese bureau of communications. This is an important step, as it has not only verified previous phone leaks, but shows the company's interest in a product prior to its launch.

With all of these things considered however, the release of a powerful, more capable Xiaomi tablet would be a good addition to its product line. In a tablet market where the iPad simply dominates, having an equally capable tablet that can also take a jab at PC level productivity, but at a lower price tag, would make for a product we'd love to have.

The BEST Xiaomi Phones in 2020

With the recent release of the Redmi K30 Pro, many have found new reasons to get excited over Xiaomi phones. But with such a massive lineup, it can be difficult to find just the perfect Xiaomi phone. In this article we will list the best Xiaomi phones your money can buy in 2020.

The King: Mi Note 10 Pro

Ever since this device came to market, we have been shocked by the sheer value it provides to the average user. Being the cheapest device on this list, one may find it weird that it is our favourite, but with an efficient processor, a two day battery, and insane camera technology, this phone is hard to beat.

So what are the compromises? Well, it won’t have the latest processor in the market, or the brightest display in the world, but for the average social media savvy phone-user, these compromises should be unnoticeable - and at its price, this is extremely nice to say.

Second Place: K30 Pro

Yes, the device that has been getting a fantastic amount of attention lately. Xiaomi’s latest is a 550 dollar phone that constantly performs like it costs 800 or above - in other words, it is impressive. It only doesn’t make first place because for the average consumer, many of this device’s features may not be fully useful. Sure, a nicer screen is always great, and a faster performer makes everything better, but with the Mi Note 10 Pro, you get 95% of the experience for 100 dollars less.

If you see yourself needing the extra quirks of the K30 Pro however, we recommend the 8GB of RAM + 128GB storage configuration in specific, as it offers just the right balance between horsepower and storage, all while still maintaining itself at a price realm where it differs itself enough from some of Xiaomi’s more expensive devices.

Third: Mi 10 (Non-pro)

That’s right, we are recommending one of Xiaomi’s latest flagship phones - only that we are recommending its less premium brother, the Xiaomi Mi 10. Featuring the same internals, display technology and 108MP main camera sensor, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro packs the same delightful flagship experience while saving you a lot of cash.

The areas where you will be missing out are very few and far between, with the camera sensor’s quality being the most notable of them. Nevertheless, the Xiaomi Mi 10 offers more than sufficient camera technology for the average user, and to its own benefit, an even bigger battery than its pro variant, with an extra 280mAh of juice.

Avoidable Fourth: K30 Pro Zoom Edition

In our last place, although still somewhat note-worthy, we have a rather awkward device. The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, the K30 Pro’s 30x Zoom capable brother, costs the same amount of money as the Mi 10, whilst featuring a better camera, and in our opinion, a better looking design.

With design being subjective of course, the only reason we see someone justifying picking up the K30 Pro Zoom over the Xiaomi Mi 10 is if they really don’t care for extra pixels, and simply enjoy how the K30 Pro is designed. At this point however, we’d argue that the average consumer simply won’t find much use in the Zoom’s closeup capabilities, using it here and there simply for the coolness factor - so why not save some money and just go with the K30 Pro base edition?

Is the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW Is Worth YOUR Attention?

The Xiaomi Mi Dots weren’t necessarily the best TSW earbuds ever released - leaving us wondering if the Chinese company Xiaomi had peaked after a record-breaking amount of world changing releases. Announced yesterday, the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW could be the company’s return to glory - but will it improve a lot over the already existing Xiaomi Mi Air 2?

Being released at roughly $56, the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW features a lot of spark for your cash. Firstly, Xiaomi revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW comes with an upgraded dual-core chipset, featuring a new binaural syncrhonous transmission technology - To put it in everyday terms, the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW will better the earbuds’ abilities to synchronize both earbuds during listening, meaning that the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW could potentially feature really impressive latency results.

To further its low latency focus, Xiaomi has included LHDC Bluetooth decoding, Bluetooth 5.0 and a low-latency mode that automatically turns on during use. With both the hardware and software focused on providing a low-latency experience, the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW may be truly remarkable for gamers and content-viewers alike.

In sweetening the deal, the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW also includes support for Xiaomi’s XiaoAI assistent, and a dual-microphone array, ensuring that phone calls and speech recognition will be superb in Xiaomi’s new wireless earbud. Furthermore, the earbuds will feature a 5 hour charge, with up to 24 hours when its new wireless-charging is used to charge it.

But to answer the question raised in the first paragraph, we don’t believe that these differences will be significant enough to sway those who already own the Mi Air 2 to upgrade. Not only does the Mi Air 2 already include the same LHDC decoding, but it can now be found for cheaper, making it the better deal than ever. Perhaps the inclusion of noise cancellation or the Qualcomm 3020 chip could have made the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW a better deal. Nevertheless, the improvements to low-latency await to be seen, and could change this opinion when the earbuds officially launch.

The Xiaomi Mi Air 2S TSW will have a China-exclusive release on April 9, with plans for a release in other countries not in sight.

Why The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is the Best Xiaomi Phone You Can Buy

As the new year has kicked rapidly, many users may be looking to start off the year with a fresh new smartphone. With so many options around, we have found that for the average user, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 has three features that make it not only one of the best Xiaomi phones currently available, but one of the best phones you can currently buy, those being: superb battery life, great performance, and a beautiful display.

Before talking about these three features more closely, it is important to detail that by claiming this phone as the “best” smartphone, we truly put an emphasis on the average user. By saying this, we understand that not all technology users are the same, and some may have more specific needs than others. Nevertheless we retain that for the average user who spends a majority of their time browsing and sharing the latest and greatest events, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is a fantastic pocket companion.

Superb Battery Life

Perhaps the most important feature consumers look for when buying a smartphone is a lasting battery performance - and the Mi Note 10 delivers that in spades. Packing a large battery cell, and efficient processor and a battery-saving display, the Mi Note 10 bundles the perfect combination of features necessary to make a long lasting phone.

According to our tastings, users should expect 9-10 hours of on screen battery life with this device, making it more than capable to last up to two days of average use - making the desperate urges to the charger very infrequent.

But when the time to charge does arise, the Mi Note 10’s bundled 27W quick charge adapter takes you back to 100% in a little over one hour - getting you ready for another 2 day journey.

Great Performance

Whilst most technology enthusiasts may be quick to judge the device’s Snapdragon 730 chipset, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 delivers great performance that for the average, non-intensive user, will simply breeze through all their needed apps.

When the need for a gaming phone arises however, the Mi Note 10 has proven to be more than capable to run most modern games with competent graphics and performance, leading us to believe that this device may last another 2 years of fantastic performance.

A Beautiful Display

Budget Xiaomi devices have long been plagued by only decent LCD displays, but the Xiaomi Mi note 10 takes a completely different approach to its competitors. Offering a modern curved OLED display with a very minimal notch, the Mi Note 10 is a pleasure to look at, made even better by the 600 nit display that makes it plenty bright for outdoors use.

While it will in no way compete with the latest iPhone 11 Pro, it will offer an experience that for its price, and for the average user, is simply impressive.

Xiaomi Unveils Mi Mix Alpha, A $3000 Phone Not Many WIll Ever Own

Xiaomi has always been reputable for incredible devices offered at budget price tags. As the cliche goes however, all things must change, and with Xiaomi’s latest unveiling of its Mi Mix Alpha, a $3000 smartphone that not many will ever own.

Packing the latest and greatest technology, a 180% screen to body rate and a 108MP camera, the Mi Mix Alpha is Xiaomi’s first attempt to settle itself as a competitive figure in the flagship smartphone space.

According to the company’s Lei Jun, the Alpha is the company’s first step towards reinventing Xiaomi as a smartphone company. “Actually, we want to get rid of this reputation that our phones cost less than 2,000 Yuan. We want to invest more and make better products” Said Jun as a response to many of the company’s fans complaining about the lack of ingenuity that came with Xiaomi’s latest releases.

Furthermore, Jun also stated that “In the future, our phones might get more expensive - not a lot, but a little more expensive,” hinting towards Xiaomi slowly abandoning the space it once dominated, and instead entering a crowd where it never has competed.

The change in market has left many Xiaomi fans wondering what is next for the company, with some speculating that its Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will release with many features of the Alpha, but instead hinting towards the $1000 price tag, placing Xiaomi right next to Apple and Samsung’s flagship offerings.

Despite not having a clear release data, the limited quantities announced and its more than expensive price-tag make it almost clear that the Mi Mix Alpha may a technological joy that never leaves China.
